Our school budget is made up of tuition, grants, and gifts such as yours. Each gift contributes to our work educating students at Westfield Friends. Every gift to the Fund for Westfield Friends School goes directly to support student scholarships, teacher salaries, and the programs we offer our students.
Like all independent schools, Westfield Friends School depends upon the generosity of our community to support our everyday priorities as well as our long-term future. Tuition covers approximately 80% of the actual cost of educating a student in an independent school with the remainder of costs being covered by other sources of revenue. The single most significant of these gap-bridging revenue sources is the Fund for Westfield Friends School.
All year Westfield alumni, alumni parents, current parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, Trustees, and friends of our community join together in making these tax-deductible gifts online or via check to the School.
Gifts to the February Days of Giving are also considered gifts to The Fund for Westfield Friends School. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond these days, and touches everyone in our Westfield community. Plan to give from heart on these dedicated days of giving.
No donation amount is too small – every gift is very much appreciated!
Please know that no gift is too small. Each and every gift benefits our School and our students! The important thing to remember is that we count on you. Our dedicated faculty and staff believe strongly in our mission and have achieved every school's dream goal of 100% Faculty and Staff Participation in the Fund donations.
You may designate your gift to the Fund for Westfield Friends School to honor a loved one’s birthday, anniversary, graduation, or memorialize a family member or friend with a gift to Westfield Friends. Please let us know the name of the person you are honoring with your gift, and the name of the party who should receive notification of your gift.
The Fund for Westfield Friends School campaign runs during the school’s current fiscal year. Pledges or gifts may be made at anytime during the year, but those made on or before December 31 (postmark date) are eligible to be claimed as a current year tax deduction (to the extent allowed by law).
If you have questions about The Fund for Westfield Friends School, please feel free to contact Dr. Margaret Haviland, Head of School.
