In Meeting for Worship, our theme is gratitude. At the beginning of Meeting, Kindergarten students shared what they appreciate about their 7th grade buddies. Then Michael, in Second Grade, stood and said that he was grateful for his family. That evening, he told his mother that his legs were shaking when he stood up, but he knew he wanted to speak. His example helped other students share their gratitude for siblings, pets, teachers, favorite books, individual friends, and getting to come to their school each day..
Our Parents and Guardians Council has been very busy. On Saturday their Pancake Breakfast was a huge success. So many of our families came to enjoy time together. As a part of the breakfast we showed our students’ grandparents through their classrooms. Now P&G Council is expressing their gratitude through a wonderful week of teacher appreciation starting with a great breakfast on Monday and ending with a much anticipated lunch on Friday.
We are in the last week of planning our school’s biggest community event of the year, A Taste of Our Towns. Along with delicious samples of food from local restaurants, parents, teachers, and friends of the school have contributed wonderful items for the event auction.
They will all be on display at the event, AND starting this Saturday, May 7th, you can start bidding early for these from the ReadySetAuction e-catalog.
Here are some teasers of our Class Baskets generously donated by Westfield parents:
Be sure to visit the catalog this Saturday. There is something in it for everyone. Some more teasers here!

Our planning committee has been hard at work organizing food and beverages. The evening promises to be an opportunity for us to celebrate our many blessings and accomplishments this year. I hope to see all of our Westfield friends and family at this event. The proceeds directly benefit Westfield students and families, helping to keep tuition affordable by removing financial barriers to families interested in Westfield's mission for their children.
