The sixth grade has spent the last several weeks reading The Fever of 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's based on the true events of the yellow fever epidemic of 1793 and takes place in the summer during the late eighteenth century in Philadelphia.
This week the students became newspaper journalists and editors. The've created newspapers written as if they had actually lived during the yellow fever epidemic.
