Dear Friends,
We made it! Take a deep breath, hug your children, take a much-needed, months-long mask break. Now is the time to relax more, rejuvenate, and restore your spirits and minds. I realize that many of you work through the summer even as your children shift into summer vacation mode. But I hope that you will take the time you deserve as a thank you to yourself for helping make this school year possible.

We have created a summer reading program to support and encourage your children’s love of reading. Students rising into 3rd-8th grades will also have some math through our IXL math program. Here again, the goal is to support skills and encourage the joy of working with numbers. We will send home more information about the math program next week. I hope to get a postcard from each Westfield student telling me about their reading, their math successes, their discoveries, and their adventures.
Just a little homework for parents and guardians: You are our best promoters of Westfield to prospective families. Look for an email in the early summer which will include a small package of information that will help you be our school ambassadors.

I seem to be very challenged getting instructions out to you for the school's new electronic medical records program. I have sent you two emails with incorrect instructions for accessing Magnus Health. The correct instructions are to access “your Magnus Health SMR account through the FACTS family portal. You will access Magnus via the ‘medical’ tab. We ask that you enter the health information required within your Magnus Health SMR account for each child attending Westfield Friends School no later than Sunday, August 15, 2021.” For more information, please click here.
Have a great summer. Thank you for sharing your children with us. Each of us has seen and been moved by that of God in each of your children. I know that I have the best job in the world.
