Thanks to Everyone!

What a night, what a success!
We can’t thank all of our contributors enough – all sponsors, donors, attendees, artists, auction contributors, students, faculty, staff, Westfield Monthly Meeting, WFS Board and Committees, and WFS families and friends – for making this such a spectacular and successful evening!
The six month planning of this event could not have resulted in such an incredible success without the countless hours of effort from all of our various committees and individuals.  We hope that we’ve thought of everyone here, but know that we are grateful to all.
  • Invitation and Outreach Committee led by Tricia Cranmer, for compiling and growing our outreach list. Creating the Alumni Facebook page should be a great resource for all to keep in touch. Also, a special thank you to Debra Hojsak for promoting our event and sponsors through our social media outlets in the months leading up to the event.
  • Sponsorship Committee – led by John Cranmer and Michael Floyd for gathering a team that garnered an incredible amount of sponsorships and donations.
  • Auction Committee – led by Lori Korneluk and Annie Jung, who organized all those who procured silent and live auction items for the event.  Their presentation of all of these items was a sight to see.
  • Art Committee – led by Sharla Floyd, Erika Gehringer, and Lisa Harder for procuring our professional artwork, and Teacher Deborah Moss Marris for brilliantly showcasing student talent and Westfield’s art program. A big thank you also to parents and others from our WFS Community who helped procure professional pieces for the sale. Lisa, with Kelly Lyons’s donation of the presentation boards, mounted all the student work beautifully. And Erika was always available as our resident graphic artist throughout the planning of our logo, invitations, and event signage.
  • Décor & Entertainment Committee – led by Judy Cope and Dottie Iaquinto. Judy masterminded the most gorgeous centerpieces, and with the help of parent volunteers, created our show pieces for the night. Dottie was instrumental in making sure our signage was ordered, and saw that our DJ made dancing a blast.
  • Movers & Shakers – a big thank you to all who came out to help move our items the day before and helped set up the venue the day of the event – couldn’t have done it without you.  A huge thank you to the Art Team of Lisa, Erika, and Sharla who curated the artwork at the venue – the display throughout looked amazing.
  • In Kind Donors – a HUGE Thank You to all of these wonderful individuals:
    • Manuela Morais – for hosting our various planning meetings
    • Valerie and Jack Parry – for donating the Art Under the Stars banners
    • WFS Parents, Patrick and Shelly Guise – Our beautifully prepared printed programs were made possible by The Guises and their team, Tara Devine and Britt Silver.
    • Sharla and Michael Floyd – for offering their beautiful home to host the Preview Soirée
    • Jessica & Matt Bacon  – for the supply of beverages at the Preview Soirée
    • Tricia and John Cranmer – for hosting the Invitation Signing gathering
    • David McCormick – our fearless Auctioneer.  His handsome kilt, Scottish brogue, and charismatic personality was a show stealer and we thank him for being instrumental in our Live Auction and Paddle Raise.
    • Baldwin Photography – David Baldwin and Glenn Hudson.  They were great at capturing everyone at our step and repeat banner and throughout the evening.
    • Tim Robinson Videography – We can’t wait to see the live footage from the event.
    • All WFS parents and community that donated their resources and time for any part of the planning of this event.
Thank you very much to Westfield Monthly Meeting for its continuous support of Westfield Friends School.
It is not too late to purchase items you love! All unsold professional and student artwork, auction instant buy items, and Bring Westfield Home posters and student art notecards will remain available for purchase at: www.artunderthestars.auction-bid.org. For those of you already registered with the GiveSmart mobile bidding system, it is a simple click and buy! Please help us share these opportunities!  This site will be open through the end of the school year on June 8.  After that time, we will be adding these items to the WFS website – www.westfieldfriends.org. Anything that is purchased from the site can be picked up at the school; please coordinate with Lori Korneluk at korneluks@comcast.net. NOTE you do not have to use a credit card to purchase items; if you would like to use cash or check, please also contact Lori. Mugs (garnet or blue) and magnets are also still available.
Stay tuned for photos and videos from the evening – we’ll be posting them on the WFS website and WFS Social sites. In the meantime, we encourage you to share your own photos – and search for others – across social media using the hashtags #WFS, #WFSfete, and #garnetandblue!
Also, don’t forget that on Pancake Breakfast and Grandparents Day (Friday, May 19th) there will be a final chance to buy our student artwork, which will be displayed for purchase by cash, check, or online via our GiveSmart system with credit card.  Bring Westfield Home posters and Student Artwork notecards will also be available that day.
**If you have any unpaid items and have pre-swiped your card, please email Lily Taylor before end of day Wednesday, May 10th (lilytaylor@icloud.com) to let her know if you prefer to pay by check (made out to Westfield Friends School), and we will not process your card on file.  After Wednesday, May 10th, GiveSmart will go ahead and process your card.
If anyone has yet to pick up their auction items/certificates, please email Lori Korneluk (korneluks@comcast.net) and we’ll make sure you do!
